Crisis accommodation and support when you need it most

When a crisis hits, the last thing you need is a complicated process or a long wait. We provide short-term accommodation, hands-on case management and referrals to help stabilise your situation.

8:30am to 6:30pm, 7 days a week

What the Crisis Response Program Covers

Three things we focus on during the crisis period.

Short-term crisis accommodation

Safe, temporary housing during the crisis period. A stable base while you work through what comes next.

Case management

Someone coordinating your supports, keeping things moving, making sure nothing falls through the gaps.

Referrals to services

We connect you with the right services. We don't just hand over a number. We make the introduction.

This program is open to everyone

You don't need to be an NDIS participant to access the Crisis Response Program. We assess every referral individually.

People we commonly support include:

Not sure if we can help? Send through a referral or call us. We'd rather figure it out together.

What happens when you reach out

Every situation is different, but here's the typical process.

1. Submit a referral

Online form, or call us directly if it's urgent

2. We review your situation

Our team assesses what's happening and what you need right now

3. Accommodation arranged

If short-term crisis housing is needed and available, we'll get that sorted.

4. Case management kicks in

Active coordination through the crisis period

5. Connected with other services

Referrals and introductions to whatever else you need

6. Support until things stabilise

We stay with you until the immediate crisis is under control

How we work

Crisis doesn't follow a script. Neither do we. We've seen what happens when people get bounced between services, handed pamphlets, or told to call back during business hours. That's not how this works. We listen first, act fast, and walk alongside people through the hard parts. No lectures. No judgement. If you need someone who'll actually pick up the phone and help you figure things out, that's us.

How to refer someone (or yourself)

Two ways to get in touch. Use the form for standard referrals, call us for anything urgent.

Online referral form

The fastest way to get a referral in front of our team. Fill it in with as much detail as you can.

Emergency referrals

If the situation is urgent and can't wait for a form, call us directly.

Common questions about crisis accommodation

1. Do I need to be an NDIS participant to access crisis accommodation through TwoHearts?

No, the Crisis Response Program is open to everyone. While we support NDIS participants with crisis SIL and emergency STA, the program isn't limited to NDIS. We assess every referral individually.

2. How quickly can you arrange crisis accommodation?

It depends on the situation and availability. We operate 7 days a week and treat urgent referrals as a priority. For emergency referrals, call us directly on 07 2146 0057.

3. What areas in Queensland do you cover?

Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Scenic Rim, Gympie and Toowoomba. Contact us to discuss your specific location.

4. Is the accommodation permanent housing?

No, this is short-term, crisis-focused support. The goal is to stabilise your situation while longer-term housing and supports are organised.

5. Can I refer myself?

Yes, use the online form or call us directly. We also accept referrals from support coordinators, family members, hospitals and other providers.
