Community In Crisis Events - Hosted by TwoHearts

Bringing communities together to talk about the issues affecting local families, hear from people working on the frontline, and turn conversations into practical action.

Community In Crisis is a series of community forums hosted by TwoHearts Queensland. Each event focuses on a local area and brings together community members, service providers, businesses, government representatives and people with lived experience.

These events are not about sitting through hours of presentations. They are about having real conversations about what is happening in our communities, what is working, what is not working, and what we can do together.

Why Community In Crisis?

Across Queensland, families and individuals are experiencing increasing pressure from homelessness, domestic and family violence, mental health challenges, disability, cost-of-living pressures and gaps between services.

At the same time, there are incredible organisations, workers, businesses, government representatives and community members already trying to make a difference.

The problem is that we do not always get everyone in the same room.

Community In Crisis was created to change that.

Each forum gives people the opportunity to be heard, ask questions, raise concerns and hear directly from members of the community, local services and government representatives.

We also give attendees the opportunity to submit questions and raise concerns anonymously through our new confidential system. This means people can have their voice heard even if they are not comfortable speaking publicly.

These events are not about one person, one organisation or one issue.

They are about the community as a whole.

Each forum focuses on the real issues affecting that local area and creates a space for people to talk openly about what is happening, what support is available, where the gaps are and what practical solutions could make a difference.

We want people to leave knowing more about the issues affecting their local community, knowing who is available to help, and knowing that their concerns have been heard.
